The “Development Project of Sodium Ion Battery for Electric Vehicles,” a joint project of MarkLines Corporation and our company (Blue Sky Technology Co., Ltd.), has been selected as a new project for Kanagawa Prefecture’s 2024 R&D project contributing to the “realization of a decarbonized society in 2050. The project is a joint project between MarkLines, Inc. and our company (Blue Sky Technology Inc.).
In addition, the “Development Project for Motor/Inverter with Integrated Functions for Automobiles,” a joint project between Nidec Powertrain Systems Corporation and our company, has been adopted as a continuing project since FY2023.
About “Development Project of Sodium Ion Batteries for Electric Vehicles
Develop sodium-ion batteries that can secure stable domestic resources compared to lithium-ion batteries that use scarce resources outside of Japan.
This will enable low-cost automotive batteries to replace lithium-ion batteries and contribute to the widespread use of electrically powered vehicles, thereby reducing CO2 emissions.
About the “Automotive Integrated Function Motor/Inverter Development Project
Develop a unit that integrates the motor, inverter, reducer, charger, battery controller, charge controller, and other devices necessary to operate an electric vehicle.
This will reduce the electrical energy loss that occurs between the devices, and also realize downsizing and weight reduction through integration. Based on the results of last year’s project, this project will take a step up toward practical application.
